High School Program
High School Exploratory
Beau Monde College of Hair Design offers this program to juniors and seniors that are still currently attending high school.
The program allows a high school student to experience a hands-on, in-depth exploration of our college. A one-time cost of $30 is assessed to pay for materials and product. Students and young adults attend a ten-week course on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a one-hour lunch.
The 80 hour course allows Portland Public School students to receive 1/2 an elective credit, if you complete the proper forms in advance, for their district. In addition, the 80 hours earned can be applied towards the total hours required to complete a Cosmetology degree.
Senior Half Day Program
Seniors who have half day schedules at their high school can participate in the half day program from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. or 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.
The cost for this program ranges from $100 - $200 per month depending on the program selected. Students can earn Off-Campus credit just like the Cosmetology Exploratory Program and all hours earned apply towards the program you select.
If students attend early in the fall of their senior year they can reduce their program by about a third, with only two-thirds to complete after graduation. You will need to create the proper forms and communicate with your counselor to get proper credit for the course prior to registering with the College. Financial Aid or Scholarship arrangements can be made upon graduation or attainment of a GED.
