About Us

The Beau Monde name encompasses two facilities. Beau Monde College of Hair Design and Beau Monde Academy of Cosmetology. The college is our clock-hour school where students are able to graduate once completing a set number of hours depending on their course of study. The academy is our competency based school. Competency based schools are not regulated by clock hours, instead they are able to graduate once they show the skill necessary to succeed in the cosmetology industry.

Beau Monde has been in business since 1960, making it the longest running cosmetology school in the Portland area. Our great downtown location allows our students the opportunity to provide services to a large and diverse clientele.

Beau Monde College of Hair Design is our nationally accredited campus. This accreditation gives our students the opportunity to receive financial aid, if eligible.
